How many updates could you have read that even stated that? Most of us wouldn't bring that point up, anyway.

Season 6 was a pretty non-descript year, with the "highlight" being a 3rd rouind FA Cup game against Wolves. We spent the year just above ther elegation zone, mystifying the pundits who predicted for a second straight year that we'd be heading out of the league. Had a bit of a row with the Scarborough manager, who despite being 12 points adrift with 15 to play, decided to question my ability. I hope he enjoys the Conference. We finished 19th in League 2.

Looks like the board is expecting more of the same next season. I went a little wild in my transfer signings though, and my salaries are almost double my budget. Looks like its a year to sell! sell! sell!

Season 7 started off well, we were middle of the table through Christmas, but our Cup games wer disasters. Then Christmas hit and it all fell apart. I won a total of 3 games between Christmas and April 1st, leaving me in last place and 4 points from safety with 5 games left.

The team got it together though, and won 3 of the next 4 games, carrying me out of the relegation zone, but needing a win in my final game to secure my position in League Two for next season. My defensive midfielder challenged the team to respond, and they did, with 2 goals in the first 12 minutes of the game, and a 3rd goal later in the first half to get us a 3-0 win and a 21st placed finish for the season.

I applied for some other jobs this season, with no success, but I'm still looking for a better option, so I may not finish Season 8 with Northwich Victoria...

What a difference a season makes. On the next to last game day of Season 7, I managed to claw my way out of the danger zone and assure my spot in League 2 for another season. On the next to last game day of Season 8 I clinched the championship of League 2!

I started the season with 40-1 odds against me winning the league. The team jumped straight to the top of the table though, and spend the whole season fighting Weymouth for the top spot. Seeing how well my league campaign was going, I started my second team in all Cup games, and only won one of them. No loss.

Things got ugly after Thanksgiving, with injuries suddenly piling up. On New Year's day I had to start my 5th and 6th string stikers up front. We managed to get through the rough period though and kept in contact with Weymouth. The last scare we had was with 10 games to go, we got 1 point out of the next 3 games, but we turned it around and won the championship. To celebrate, I lost the last two games by a combined score of 9-1, with the highest rated player on my side in the last game gettinga a 4. Oh well, it doesn't matter, as League 1 beckons!
