Now that guff is out the way...
Pro Vercelli - Serie C2/A - 2006/07
I thought, as I haven't been able to get into a game properly for a while, I'd start where I did for my last FM06 one, and hope to emulate some of the sucess I had on it.
The season wasn't too great, in and out of the bottom five like cocks in a Dutch hooker. Serie C Cup was also exited at the group stage.
P34 W9 D12 L13 F45 A57 Pts39 Final position - 14, staying up after winning the Playout.
Pro Vercelli - Serie C2/A - 2007/08
More of the same, got the boot in late February with Vercelli rooted to the bottom of the table. Cups once again sucked.
Casa Pia - Portuguese Second Division Group C - 2008/09
It was interesing. not given any chance by the media, no money and a wage budget which makes my actual wage look big. Finished rock bottom, and got the boot. Again. The second round of the Portupoof Cup was ventured to, with us knocked out by a non-league side.
P26 W3 D6 L17 F12 A51 Pts15 Final position 14th and last.
On The Dole - 2009/10 - Jan 2011
Nice cockup here.
Done the usual 'holiday with apply to higher rep clubs' whilst unemployed. Or so I thought. A combination of me not paying attention, a 3am start yesterday and still being awake playing this at half one this morning led to me not clicking the option to apply for jobs, and holiday through till Christmas of 2010. Arsebiscuits.
Burton Albion - Conference North - 2010/11
Fidsy returns home. Well, sort of. On the resumption of playing this morning I put this damn thing on holiday again, checking the relevent boxes this time, and two weeks later I was offered the Burton post. Nice I thought, until looking at the squad, and all of the poofters need Prozac, or a nice easy game to kick off my tenure. Ithsmian One South side Chatham in the Trophy? Nice.
Hopefully with only eight points seperating the top twelve (we're in twelfth), I hope I can achieve a playoff place at the least. They seem to have seen sense with signings as well, with one of Woking's current centrebacks in the side
League - P42 W18 D10 L14 F64 A54 Pts64 Pos 4th
Playoffs - vs Altrincham lost 4-5 on aggregate(2-2 at home, 2-3 at theirs)
FA Trophy - Third Round exit at the hands of Exeter( ), 0-3
So close, but yet so far.
Very interesting second half to the season, 'twas. Very tight at the top, with at one point the top eight being separated by goal difference, with us atop the pile. Great thing that the Conference North/South do not have a formal transfer window, as I would have been screwed with an injury problem right towards the death of the season, bringing in some great free transfrs which helped in our injury time winner on the last day of the season, jumping us from tenth to fourth, and a playoff date with Altrincham. Wasn't to be though, with Alty doing to us what we done to get into the playoffs, and stuck one in at the death, consigning us to another season in this godforsaken division.
The coming season looks to be promising, with us being predicted by the media to finish top of the pile, so here goes owt. Again.
how did you draw a ECN team in the third round?
and at least it wasnt daggers (not a fan), they would have PUMMELLED your team like 6-0, they did with my WSM team !!!
