I played in Ireland, I think. Don't remember much about it as I'd have lasted about a season or two and got sacked for underachievement.

First...do not listen to anyone who says you have to have a full squad of full time pros and full time staff...that's bollox.

Money and reputation increases are required to go full time.

If it's any help............

I started with Lisburn Rangers in N.Ireland , (who start off so low they are unplayable when the game starts). I got to the group stages of the UEFA Cup and had over £3M in the bank and still didn't turn pro.

If I'm honest though, turning pro has never really bothered me in the past. All my players are on full time contracts, (sorry Iain), and I must admit that some of my staff are on full time contracts too. (There is a little trick to this that I will obviously not share, but it doesn't take a brain surgeon to work out how to get a coach on a full time contract if you can get players on a full time contract).

As for Ireland, you have the added incentive of the All Ireland Cup.

If in doubt, just play 1 more season .

Club has to be full time before the board will let you offer staff full time positions.

One way you know when it's close is when the contract you're offered is full time...one of the reasons I only ever accept yearly contracts.

Sorry Iain, but that is just not true.

davo. I'm not going to tell you how to get coaches/ass man, on full time contracts, but read my last post a couple of times and it should become obvious. Can't help with physios though.

Not in Scotland in FM2007...then again, I never try to gain an unfair or unrealistic advantage over the game

If I'm reading what Jimbo has said right, then its possible to get coaches/ass men on full time contracts in any nation.
