Season 6 - 2010/11

A plague on your house SI! Injuries, virus's, colds, flu, food poisoning, worst FM spell I've ever had. Never less than 3 first teamers out, sometimes as many as 11.

In spite of this we manage a respectable 10th place in the opening stage, closing stage we finish 6th assisted by a couple of window signings.
That means an overall placing of 8th

Highlight, come back from 0-2 at HT to beat River Plate 4-2

Star player, beefy striker, 22 goals but won't sign a new contract now 'cause he wants to win things, (don't we all dear)

Board are happy, finances sehr gut!

Onwards & upwards

Confusing success, we have won the opening stage, which counts as winning the Argentinian Premier league, that means there are 3 Premier league champions each season

I've decided to resign at this stage & see if I can get a job in the Chilean or Columbian 2nd divisions to continue my SA tour, Peru has only one division so I may do that last or not at all.

2 beefy strikers with 12 & 10 goals respectively along with a young AML from Ecuador were the keys to success.

Walked straight into the job at Deportes Valdivia in the Chilean First Div B.

90% drop in pay, wage budget £6k, transfer budget £5k, 8 full timers.

A small bonus, I have 10 weeks till the season starts here.

I don't know if my previous exalted employment will have any effect on this job.

Back to marking the pitch myself on Saturday morning

In a fit of pique I blow it all on an AMC & FC, the supporters are underwhelmed by the arrival of Fray & Bentos but we need a bit more beef in the side.
Whatever it is in those things, it sure ain't beef.

When they arrive they'll be rolled up with a little local product inside

A wee update on my new club, only formed in 2003 they have a 4,200 all stander stadium, google aerial photo makes it look a beautiful place (admittedly from 5,000 feet)

A 38 yr old striker turned me down

If it's the same one I'm looking at, I wouldn't like to be the ballboy when the ball gets kicked into the woods. And 4200 people? I certainly wouldn't want to be there for a full house.

That's the one, motorway one side, river the other. (I came up that river on a banana boat last week)

After an enforced 2 week absence from FM I returned to my SA tour with renewed hope & vigour, Sucker

I have truly discovered the anus of world football.

P 22 D 2 L 20 F 10 A 59 12th & last

Relegation play off, 6 straight defeats, I'm unemployed & the board stay pleased right to the bitter end.

I'm writing this in a dugout canoe en route to the job centre, If I can get a job in the Columbian second division I can begin the last leg of my SA tour, if not it may well be a wrap.

Colombian managers seem awfully secure so I've accepted the job at Espanol who are 17th in the Argentinian second div midway thru the season.

Argentina is the scene of my only success in SA so this maybe a chance to restore my self esteem (or maybe not of course)
