Your memories are cloudy I think?

Aberdeen is not on the mainland. It is on the south side of Hong Kong island, a couple of bays away from Repulse Bay.

The floating restaurants are there as you state though.

Mind you I'm a bit worried about where I did eat now
Would that have been Nee Soon which I believe is on the east coast of the mainland?
