Hmmm, LLM may seem like the place for me after all. After reading a few posts I am very intrigued. Funny enough I implement the rules of LLM without even knowing it. Before I go any further, I guess I should apologize to all the LLM faithful out there. As some forum goers may know, I have been actively looking for what I can see most of you locals calling the "Spawn of Satan"?. I hope at the moment you can look past that, because to this point I have never been able to use one. The reason I came to the LLM forums is because someone from the General Discussions forums recommeneded you guys to me. Before I ask the questions, here is the background information.
For the past (4) seasons I have been playing with Rhyl in the Welsh Premier League. My goal was to improve the stature of the club in the world, while at the same time improving the stature of the leauge. After these seasons, I have had some successes. Unfortunately, the club is still semi-professional and I think hindering my chances to sign better players. I want to be a professional club. On the same token, I am still unable to scout outside of Wales.
The version I play with is WWSM 2008, and there is no working "Spawn of Satan" for it, therefore you all can take comfort in knowing that I am currently not a cheater.
My questions are, How long does it take to turn professional in Wales? How long until I can scout out of Europe?

TBH looking at your bank balance & successes I'm surprised that the board havn't taken the club professional already. I would imagine that with your recent qualification for the CL group stages the board may take turn the club professional at the end of the season but this being LLM you may be disappointed.
I remember, someone tried to achieve the same in CM 01/02. I think he finally made it into the Champions League group phase but it took a very long time (20 seasons and more).
Well I didn't win a game in the group stages of the CL, although I managed one tie against Rapid Bucharest. The other teams in my group were Barcelona & Bayer Leverkusen (I was crused by both of them).
I'm also hoping that the board will make the decision to turn professional over the summer. Or at least giving me the option to scout outside of the UK & Wales.

I was lucky enough to make a few key signings from other Welsh clubs. It seems to me that the AI are able to purchase or Loan in quality players into the Welsh league, but the User cannot. Once these players are in Wales, it is easy to convince them to come to your club. So that is the angle I have taken to bring in fresh faces, hope that the other clubs bring them to Wales, so that my scouts can scout them.

There was a whole thread about winning European silverware with a team from the Welsh league. I managed to reach the UEFA Cup final once.
Will Rhyl be too Small?
