try making a totally new player in the game. overwrite some conference withyourself foe example. check its worked and your in the game, save your game, quit FMH, then reload the saved game and see what happens to yourself...

I have changed all my team (Carlisle United) to my friends and it is fine til saving then I get the first names on reload.
Any ideas marc?

Marc knows all about this problem and is probably hard at work right now trying to sort it!? its nothing wrong with the changes file as far as we know, its an actual bug in the game that messes up name changes

I can confirm this appears to be a problem in the games editing functionality currently and I would suggest not changing any player names for this reason (everything else appears to work reliably).
