If you're in your first season Veloso won't go to Juventus, trust me I tried that already (unless he has a thing for Ranieri). I noticed a similar thing bidding for Rodrigo Palacio. A few teams had £9m bids accepted but they refused to accept a bid less than £20m from me. So I reloaded and bid the same as everyone else, bid accepted (now £12m). Then a few days later Aston Villa come in with a bid of £19m! They got him though...

Makes sense in a way, if a club receives a 20 mill bid and the player wants to go they are almost guarenteed the 20 mill. So if another club comes in with a bit of cash you might as well try and get a bit more.
