I've been playing CM/FM since 1993 and been loving every minute of it.
There is however one thing I've been thinking about ever since I first started playing it.
Why is adding leagues to the game, by yourself, so impossible?
Sure, the leagues would have to be researched and all that but there seem to be enough organizations across the internet perfectly willing to do the work if it would just be possible to import the league into the database instead or replacing an existing one.
I understand that complex leagues, such as the MLS would be impossible but I imagine a kind of league editor where you get to choose how many team would be in the league, the dates for start of season, foreigner-rules etc. etc.
A simple system with 36 teams in 3 divisions with two teams promoted/relegated every shouldn't be so hard I think.
Of course SI would not be responsible for these kinds of leagues in any way. The license issue is a thing that often comes up but all logos and pictures that are importable are not licensed either so why should licenses matter when it comes to leagues then?
As long as SI doesn't make them.
It would just be a lovely add-on feature in my opinion. :-)
