I see more and more threads of bugs and issues with FM08 and I just don't seem to have these. My shots on goal are average with the AI, I win often if I put the time and effort into making a team, lineup, and tactic otherwise its quite hard to win. I've had success with Leicester, Fulham, Aston Villa, West Ham, Betis, Southend, Napoli, New England Revolution, and Celta. And I have never had the chance to own half of the 'great' players that people complain about losing with teams full of.
I've had miserable failings with Juventus - sacked after club went into administration in 2015, I had just joined the club 2 years prior and had some success but I overestimated our income. I managed to get Palermo relegated a year after losing the UEFA final, I've had 2 failed attempts at managing a low table French side. But I never gave up, sometimes its fun having a terrible run at it then getting a new job and turning things around.
My point is, I don't see what all the whining is about. I don't have few of these 'bugs' listed and the only one that really bothers me is the La Liga ineligibility bug which is workable for first team but not for "B" teams.
I've played both of the competitors games as well and CM is amazingly easy no matter who you play with and FIFA Manager has the worst match engine I have seen in a long while. Even with 3d match patches you still end up with 4 players in a league scoring 40+ goals (Agbonlahor scored 52 EPL goals in a single season in my FIFAM game). Plus the transfer system in that game makes it too easy as well, teams sell great players far too cheap.
