Hey Team SI, thanks for the attempt at fm2008, I was really disappointed at this version so I sold my copy and bought a couple of your competitors (no names) to play with for now. I'll be back to see how you do with fm2009.

P.S Your competitors are really catching up, be careful how you approach fm2009, i'd suggest looking at the future requests thread very thoroughly as its the fans who know what they want to see in a game. facegen, matchflow etc were very unnecessary, take real notice of the requests in the future request thread.

P.P.S for those who want to flame me, I haven't dumped fm for good, I think she needs a little maturity, remodeling, and a serious spanking from her folks.

ADIOS!!!

I'm also slightly disappointed with this version. It's the first FM that I just can't get into playing. I would rather for FM 2009 that they limit the new features, but create the best game they have ever done, like the CM 01/02 game. CM 00/01 was good, but then they released 01/02 a year later and that was faultless, although more or less the same game.

I'll still stay with FM though because although this version isn't as good as years previous its still lightyears in front of FIFA or CM.

Guys trust me it is better than you think, hate to be a bore but check out the t+tf especially SAFC8's best 442 in the world. Agree CM01-02 was awesome though.

Flaw in your logic striker. You said that SI should watch out as competitiors are catching up. If they are catching up, that means they haven't yet completely caught up or overtaken. So FM is still the better game. In which case why go to the other (worse) games?

Who know, maybe their match engine isn't a complete mess

people here are quick to point out the flaws in fm08 and that their going to the rivals.
so obviously their willing to over look the flaws of these rivals.

the latest cm for example is extremely simplistic. it takes barely any tactical changes to win anythign. there's no point in having any of the tactic stuff or the stats that tell you absolutely everything about your players during the match.

if that happend in FM there'd be uproar. but gets overlooked with the competitiors when peoplle say their going over to them.

I usually buy FM and FIFA Manager only because for me its a different game experience. FM is my main love, no questions. It does take some getting into, due to a little more tactical depth, but that's why I buy both. When I don't feel like thinking too much and just watching guys run around the pitch for a laugh, I play the other one. CM is a joke now and they are quickly falling by the wayside. They aren't either game - not a tactical sim or a graphical gem - so they will soon disappear off the map.

What a great post. Distilled into "Dear SI, brought this years game, hated it so much I'm buying next years too".

Haven't quite grasped this "voting with your wallet" thing have you
