How to get my database to work in the game?

anybody know how to get a database i modified in editer to work in the game?

install any patch and edited you database in the editor. save it under a differnt name then load fm select new game and choose the databse you named yours as simple

thanks, but when i start a new game there isnt an option to choose which database to use it just automatically uses the original
