I hope you read the whole thread, and understood how to implement the tactics. Just remember to look out for the following: The pre-match odds will vary in conjunction with your winning/drawing/loosing form, so you will have to be cunning when which tactic to use or to switch to.
If you are on a winning streak your opponents will play more defensive tactically against you, so when you meet strong teams playing this way you will struggle to win these games (their deffensive is overriding your attacking capablility) until you get world class players. Offloading players can be tricky, but I found that if you put their asking price to 1k(pounds) you have a good chance (somehow this works better than putting their value to 0, could be a bug) and offer them to clubs.
Also in the next season or two you will have to start thinking more offensively and you should contact me if you start to struggle in form. Have you understood how to tweak tactic#1 to the 4-2-4 formation with minmal timewasting and understood the other tweaks on the other tactics. These are essential tweaks and really make all the difference.
I will post my training schedules for you at the weekend if I get time (I'm off for a couple of days but will be back for the big match in the weekend). If you don't have the patience I would recomend you take a look at Cleon's training schedule as it is basically these set-ups I have used with relatively good success. He had put up screen shots so they should be relatively easy to copy. Remember to get the most out of available stars when imploying your coaches.

Korzy: I don't use play makers or target men as I don't want my team to play too one-sided and would like the whole team getting in on the action. I don't think the individual instructions are conflicting as I think it offers more oppertunities for my players combined with the Creative Freedom. These setting only work in the FM07 game, where as in FM08 there are certain things you have to tone down on. I haven't done enough to support anything yet as I'm going to wait until FM08 has come out and been patched...
