Overlapping fullbacks:
FWR often, Mentality normal, RWB mixed, but how about you wingers getting in the way? How do you solve this problem, or isn't this really happening? (I have never played with both overlapping fullback and wingers together)
Counterattacking:
Defend deep, direct passing, closing down rarely, but how about tempo, width, passing direction (down both flanks)?
Possesion football:
Defend push up, short passing, closing down often, slow tempo, wide play, but how about passing direction (through the middle)?
Any additions and hopefully answers to my questions?
1) Overlapping fullbacks:My fullbacks overlap with more less those settings as far as wingers it depends on how you want them to play but i do turn of try thought ball and they never get in the way.
2)Counterattacking: tempo should be quick as you want the ball delivered as fas as possible to the strikers. Width will depend on the pitch and whether youre playing at home or away. Passing direction depends on formation, narrow formations without wingers its better to employ passing thought the middle
3)Possession football: wide play wouldn't be the best as short passing needs players to be compact, less chance of ball being intercept.
