Hey,
not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here we go. Did a search and couldn't find anything similar in 2008.
I'm playing the fm2008 demo as Liverpool. In one of my first games, Mascherano was sent off for what my assistant described as a cynical foul.
On the news screen following the game I was offered the chance to discipline the player. I missed it, being new to the 2008 layout. So while Mascherano got a ban, he went unpunished by me.
Within a short time of this happening, at least four of my first team players now 'dislike' Mascherano, while Owen is worried about lack of managerial discipline.
I'd not seen this before - haven't always disciplined players in the past, but never seen disharmony to this degree. IRL I understand Mascherano is quite popular.
I'm posting this to see if anyone else has seen similar knock on effects from decisions made or not made, and also as a warning to those flicking through the news screen too fast...

Failing to discipline player causes disharmony? Post #2
This happened to me when managing Milan in fm07. Like you I forgot to discipline Ronaldo for missing training (think he might have gone to the Rio carnival )which upset players like Nesta, Gattuso and Maldini.
But within a few months Ronaldo did exactly the same thing and this time I nailed him with a fine and everyone was happy. You have to keep your players in check otherwise you will lose your trusted players.
