For me these is no better formation than this for balance in attack and defence, it’s (dare I say) perfect…
Style of play
I based this tactic on Leeds Utd’s style of play when they reached the semi-final of the CL, build around a target man and a hardworking striker (ala Viduka & Smith)
A strong DMC (Dacourt) a box to box busy midfielder (bowyer), classy winger with good crossing and pace for counter attacking football, I have tested it with three teams and when you get the right players – wow!
Please download and feel free to have a look at individual instructions.
It is build around a good tartgetman up front alongside a quick striker, so make sure you have a Targetman that is good in the air, strong and tall alongside a striker with pace, acceleration, finishing, composure.
Wingers must be typically good at dribbling, pace, acceleration, crossing, stamina
Mid, one midfielder should be an all rounder or an attacking mid – I prefer to play an all rounder here.
Def Mid – He should be good at tackling and passing, technique
I don’t really tweak this as such unless I am being outplayed, sometimes I will untick counter attack at home to weaker teams which works well, other times if I am in a close game away from home and winning by 1 goal I will increase time wasting.
I always play this tactic with Leeds Utd, I won promotion in my first season, then finished 4th in the Prem before winning the Prem in my THIRD season.
I have also recently tried this tactic with West Ham where I finished 2nd in Prem
The rules are the rules. Either post a complete tactic with proper information or I have to close the thread. I can't start making exceptions, or we'll have chaos in the forum again. It was bad enough a couple of months back.
