St James Park - Home of the most Passionate supporters in England, not just my opinion but from those all around the country a lot of fans will admit that St James's has the best atmosphere and passion in the country, rivalled only by Liverpool's famous stand : The Kop.
The past five years has seen three different managers, Sir Bobby Robson, Graeme Souness and currently at the helm Glenn Roeder. Last season Mr Souness took the team to new depths, in relegation battles a massive contrast to his former Sir Bobby who had put us in the Champions League with 3rd and 4th place finishes. Mr Roeder saved us from the frop last season and put us in a very respectable 7th place meaning an Intertoto Cup spot for the lads. Despite moderate success the geordie fans still crave for a trophy which they have done since 1969, so could you be the manager to give the passionate fans what they deserve?

Last Season proved a mega disappointment, with major signings in Michael Owen, the return of fans favourite Nobby Solano, it had looked hopeful but due to Mr Souness not knowing who to play or having any idea of tactics, the season looked like it would end in agony, however all was not lost and ex-West Ham manager and player (for us) Glenn Roeder took over as caretaker and lifted us beating Chelsea 1-0 on the final day of the season.
This Season with the signings of Obafemi Martins and Damien Duff there is strong belief this season among the Geordie faithful that we could end our 36 year trophy drought, so once again could you be the manager to do it?

With only 159K transfer budget there isn't much room to improve and only free transfers would be an option, I've decided to stick to the starting squad and will give you regular updates etc as my season gets on.
Best of luck to anyone starting
