martins doing wonders for me alone upfront

i play a counter 4 5 1, subtly tweaked from one of the defaults

i sold nzogbia to chelski

but having trouble offloading milner and dyer

emre and parker quite fine as 2 DMCs but DC and DR are problematic for me, currently playing dyer as a DR

didnt lose a match until now but 3 straight 1-1 draws with everton, fulham and man u

against man u we were left 10 man in the middle of the first half and we were denied a contraversial penalty but i told the media the ref was right

fm07 is quite fun at the moment

Rossi is pretty good, extend his loan to the end of the season and make wage contributions 0% (Man Utd will accept!).

Have been reluctant to play Rossi as he looks a little light. The whole newcie team looks a bit light apart from Taylor, Moore and Ameobi.

I think I just made a big mistake tho. Sold Dyer for 3.2m and have just bought Christie from boro for 900k and Bocenegra from Fulham for 1.8m to backup the first team. I can now try and sell Babayaro and Bramble for a bit of cash.

Advice welcome!

Martins is top class in FM07, he doesn't stop scoring and usually finishes top scorer in the Premiership come Christmas, by far Newcastles best prospect imo. Very good as a lone striker, if you can take advantage of his pace, maybe make him a target man with lots of creative freedom with balls to target man set to 'run onto ball' from your wingers so he can get behind defenders.

Dyer is probably worth alot more than £3.2m imho, bad business but £900k for Christie looks a good deal.

Rossi is a very good young player, he can perform very well if played enough.

Btw, what do you mean by 'light'?

Sell if you must.

I personally think you should. After all, you have - LW - Duff, N'zogbia and ST - Ameobi, Martins, Rossi and Sibierski()

Hi Jimmy, thanks for the response.

By "light" I meant easy to beat in the air or push around a bit. I am now in December sitting 7th in the league, but really struggling due to injuries. Parker out for 4 months in 3rd gam of season, Martins out for 3 months after 6th, Emre out for a month, Di Biagio (free as cover but very effective) 3 months.

Out of all the players Duff has been the best, but in and out of team with injuries. Ameobi okay but not reliable. Lee Clarke has been a saviour coming in and dishing out the rough stuff when asked. Stephen Taylor a defensive rock and Bocenegra competant and reliable.

Anybody been able to get anything out of Luque. He has been in and out of my team, but never seems to really do anything, despite getting the ball in good positions.
