I almost never change sides. My thinking is if i wanted to go a big side with lots of money to spend i may as well have picked them from the beginning. Also the usual job offers are at clubs worse than mine, or at least with crappier squads and none of my youth prospects.
Occasionally if i just get bored of my team i might change clubs, but almost never.

| Some of us feel they can switch jobs to bigger and richer clubs because they have deserved it.You see that irl too, some managers who do pretty decent with small sides get bigger jobs. I only have to point at the current Tottenham manager who was managing a pretty small and poor team in Holland.

| I appreciate that, which is why i said it was "my thinking" on it. I dont manage in lower leagues for the realism of it i do it for the challenge of a harder game. Move up divisions eliminates the challenge of getting the promotion with my original team.

Just to add to that sometimes after being sacked because the board don't appreciate my qualities, I've been offered jobs at considerably better clubs, I always refuse them and wait till something on a par with my previous club appears.

The only time I'll EVER leave a club is if it's a job offer I can't refuse. I've yet to have that in my current game, but that's neither here nor there.
Mostly I'll stay with one team until I decide to retire.

Sorry for the double post...
I meant to say that the only time I'll ever leave a club on my own terms is when it's an offer I can't refuse.
If it's for P45 reasons...well...so be it. |

Four reasons why I would leave a club.
1: The Wrexham job comes up and they're stupid enough to want me.
2: The phrase "Security, please remove Mr.Jones from the building, his services are no longer required here." is spoken in my presence
3: The team I'm (mis)managing have already been relegated from the lowest possible league, and it's just a matter of playing out time (Barrow springs to mind here)
4: Death and/or retirement.

I jump ship more often than Blackbeard, myself. Normally when I get bored/frustrated with a team, or when a particularly lengthy aquaplane kicks in.
