After having left 07 because I had quite burnt out during the testing process, I felt the urge to give it a last try some time ago. The Workington 06 save was no longer a challenge and I felt I should at least try my best to get on well with the game I had, somehow, helped to create.
So, All UK & Ireland leagues loaded on the usual LLM specs. Frank said Dorchester was a good place to start. I duly obliged.
Season 06/07. Conference South
Media said 8th, Board and Fans wanted to stay clear of trouble. With my previous FM07 experiences in mind I fully expected to relegate them.
However, the team started to perform after a dubitative start and we managed to end 3rd in the division despite our key striker and the playmaker missing the last two regular league months due to an injury.
With said striker back for the playoffs, we managed to sneak promotion. \o/

Season 07/08. Conference National
Media said 24th, Board and fans expected a tough season and relegation. I wasn't quite sure how we'd fare.
Without any decent player wanting to join us because of our amateur status, the season started quite bad. However, we started picking a draw here and a win there and we ended the season on a comfortable 15th spot.

Season 08/09. Conference National
Media said 23rd, Board and fans weren't much more optimistic. I expected to build on last season and finish in the upper half of the table.
The key to fullfill my expectations is the signing of 7 Full Time blokes, as the board refuse to turn pro and they are going to be needed to push on.
The new signings help greatly, specially a left footed striker who makes quite a partnership with our playmaker and 2 seasons ongoing topscorer. However, an injury crisis around matchday 32 sees us bereft of 4 strikers for the rest of the season. We only pick 8 points in those remaining 14 matches and end pretty much like last season.
Cups? Nah.

Season 09/10. Conference National
Media said 18th, Board and Fans expected to stay clear of relegation. With the bolstering I had done to our defence I expected playoffs.
However, FM had other plans and if last season the injury crisis had been striker based, this season was going to be defence based, with the added spice of injuring all of my keepers for the very last 7 matches. However, our good form during the previous 39 matches and the defensive toughness of the team prevailed and we somehow managed to hold that 1st spot.
We made a stupid run in the Suckarse FA Cup which lasted until the semis. Other cups weren't seen.

Season 10/11. League Two
Media said Dead last, Board and fans expected trouble, pain and relegation. I wasn't quite sure what to expect.
Promotion meant we finally went Pro and that the board agreed on improving training facilities and youth setup. Yet, they were so dire that despite improving they stay the same.
As it was, bookies were right in predicting our stay in League Two would only last one season. After a lot of nail biting, suffering and watching more the live table than the actual matches in the last 6 matches, we do manage to end 3rd A lot of fixtures in those last stages are the only reason we stay there as our form during that period, due to injuries and suspensions is quite abysmal.
Yet, a promotion is a promotion \o/

Oh. Just one thing. I must have relegated like 20 teams before starting this save. The most frustrating part is that I don't have a clue of what I'm doing now that I didn't do the same way 4 months ago
I'm afraid I'm just suffering reverse aquaplanning and reality will catch up on me soon.
