My home town team are in the game (warrington) but they arent in a playable team, so i moved them into Conference North.
They have players and staff suprisingly pretty acurate but the stadium capacity was little off so I change that to the correct one.
I left everything else untouched (managed to lose my first game 4 - 0...So would you consider this cheating and not making me a llm because I didnt wait the potentially hundreads of years for them to come up?
1) Cheating is bad. It's bad for the soul. It'll get you burned badly in LLM. If you want to cheat, that's fine, but don't tell us about it, we don't want to know.
2) Editing data files can corrupt the .sav file. This can take several seasons to show up and there's nothing worse than losing a 20-odd season savegame, worse if you've been cheating to do it.
For this reason third-party updates aren't allowed in LLM either. Only updates by SI are smiled upon in LLM.
The other reason for third-party updates being banned is that there's the potential for the unscrupulous updater to advantage/disadvantage his favourite/hated Clubs/Players, and this would upset the balance of the game.
1) You used the editor or one of the other methods to put your team in a different division â‰* LLM
2) You want to use the editor to edit the stadium capacity â‰* LLM
Whilst the rules for LLM are clear, I do have sympathy for your plight. I'm lucky enough for my home town to frequently be promoted to the Conference South naturally in the game, and I'm not sure however, if I'd be as willing to play if I couldn't play as Margate.
Just because the people here shun the use of editors, doesn't mean you can't do it... it just means people most probably won't pay much attention to your updates as they won't see it as a legitimate LLM game.
If I were in your situation, I'd put my team in and play the game as close to LLM as possible. After all, it's your game that you paid good money for. Enjoy it how you want, and I'd use the LLM forum for clarification on rules, but I wouldn't post updates here.
I'd rather play LLM with my own team edited in and enjoy it, than not play at all.
Note:
This isn't an excuse for all sorts of people to flood in saying what they do that isn't LLM and why they think it's right. The rules are the rules are the rules. I'm just saying you don't have to follow 100% to enjoy your game, but you do have to follow 100% for updates and the like.

That is one of the most ignrant posts that I have seen in ages, You have been around long enough to know better.
Anybody can use the editor for anything at all that they want. As soon as they do however, they are no longer welcome in here.
It's really not brain surgery.
It's like me saying that I want to be a Christian but I'm not keen on the 2nd, 3rd and 7th commandments, (no idea which is what), so I'm not going to adhere to them but still call myself Christian.
