"Blue Moon" was sang at my wedding by a local Icelandic choir (don't ask). My wife didn't realise it had links with football so didn't bother asking me beforehand. My best man was NOT impressed as he's a manure fan.
Made me laugh though... |

Shrewsbury 2013/2014
Getting a new job didn’t take long and at the start of October League Two outfit Shrewsbury offered me a job. They were tipped 1st by the media at the start of the season but were down to 21st when I took over. They probably had the strongest team in the division and we quickly moved up the table. During mid-spring we were 3rd but a very bad spell saw us end in 10th and no playoff. Cups were nice and we got Newcastle at home in the third round of the FA cup.
Sad thing was that I lost 3 months of my save due to a game crash and at that moment I was about to play Stockport in the playoffs.
Finances were extremely good with 4m in the bank. I also got a transfer budget of 1.5m. At the end of the season the board announced a 3000 seat expansion at our pitch.
My striker who made 22 goals over the season got picked player of the year. My right back who the manager before bought was picked worst purchase of the year.

Shrewsbury 2014/2015
This was a season to remember. We completely decimated the league and with 10 games to go we had only lost 1 and made 9 draws which made 26 wins. We dropped a little in form after that but still we still won the league with 95 points, 7 points ahead of Leyton Orient. We broke the longest unbeaten run which lasted for an amazing 19 games, and we equaled the most games won in row with 7. At home we were unbeaten for the whole season in all competitions. Cups weren’t our friend this season though and we lost our first game in all 3 cups.
The board decided it was time to make the stadium bigger and spent 5 million pounds on it so my balance went down to -1 million pounds.
My newly bought 19 year old defender had the best rating of the season and I had 3 players in the team of the year.
4 Players in total 2m

Shrewsbury 2015/2016
A season I expected to stuggle went the other way around. After 3 wins we lost and drew a few games and relegation battle looked as a frightening possibilty. But then my team turned around and played 16 games without a loss and promotion battle it was. We were pretty stable through out the season and finally ended in 2nd place with 84 points, 4 points ahead of Southampton.
We were picked overachievers of the year and 4 of my players were selected in the starting XI in the team of the year and 2 subs. My players didn’t think this was progress enough though and 4 of my players requested a transfer after the season saying they wanted to move to a bigger club.
Finances were good and balance is right now around 1m.
