I'm putting you on ignore. You obviously aren't interested in making the effort for those without English as their native language, so I aren't interested in anything you have to say. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Oh, no, not ignore!!

I'm off for a cry.

And iajafer, i did take on board what Nobby said, as you can see from my posts since, they are all properly punctuated with capital letters. the issue i had is the way he went about saying it, which smacked of over reaction, and to be honest down right rudeness. The issue is simply that i'm so used to typing using microsoft word, where the punctuation is automatically corrected. Coupled with the fact that at the time of the original post i was a bit drunk, it didnt have and capital letters.

Although i dont post often on this site, i do lurk a lot and read it. Nobbys posts a lot of the time about people are over the top and rude, this isnt a one off case. I appreciated he has been on the site a long time, and has a stack of posts, but that doesn't, or indeed shouldn't, excuse the nature of his posts.

Does he lay into people whose first language isnt English in the same manner? If someone who hasnt got English as a first language spells a few things wrong Does Nobby going flying in all guns blazing to rip the poster to shreads after their first post?
I would ask him myself, but i'm on ignore!!

Surely the LLM forum should be trying to encourage new members to post, to convert them to the virtues of LLM, so that more people can come on and tell their tales, have a whinge, or a thinly veiled brag about a near promotion.

If Nobby keeps insulting people the way he does, new members are going to be intimidated about posting, many wont post because of it, and the forum will not get many new members who actively post.

I question the point of placing someone on "ignore", to be honest...but there you go.

In the early days abuse was rife, and we still attracted new and valuable users.

The simple fact is the huge majority of people who post professing to play LLM actually don't, so attracting new users isn't as easy as you may think, encouraging people who don't want to play LLM the way it's done in here is counter-productive.

You lurk, you read, you've obviously seen the myriad threads that have little to do with LLM save starting at Morecambe.

We appreciate your efforts to clean up your posts (we'll be even more appreciative when you master capitalizing "i" ) and look forward to seeing subsequent updates.

I have no issue with the latter.

With your posting history what makes you think anyone here's remotely interested in what you think?[QUOTE]

I didn't know you needed to have " x " amount of posts to have an opinion.

Pfft. That is so not the LLaMa way.

Jeez, I'm all for giving a newbie a chance in case they've made a genuine error, but if they're on a wind-up then they're fair game for a kicking.

This place is getting so sterile at the moment
