I'm playing FM2005 LLM-style as Basingstoke Town.

Doing OK, not fantastic by any means though. Towards the end of my first season, when I was mid-table, I got 4 job offers, mainly from Scottish division 2&3 sides.

It just seems odd that I'd be getting these offers in my first season, when I'm only mid-table, and both me and the clubs have an obscure reputation. I'm sure that Scottish Divison 2&3 sides will never have heard of little Basingstoke Town in the English Conference South, let alone try to poach their manager!

What does everyone else think?

I'm going to. Just need to wait til the end of next week as I get paid then. I'll also be upgrading my laptop's memory so it'll be able to handle more than just the English & Scottish leagues!

In that case wait a few months for 08

I think I'll just go for 07 next week. If I buy 08, it'll be after it's been out a while and some patches have been released, seeing as the first releases tend to be a bit on the buggy side (as with any software).
