Now as a student i was based in Scarboro (at the time they played Chelsea in the cup no less) and me and a friend of mine had a bet. get boro to the top of the premiership and win the Champions League.

This started in roughly October and continued until mid Feburary, when i was 'forced' to miss a pre valentines date with my girlfriend to open a bottle of champagne (which i had been saving for the occasion) and celebrate madly with my friend as Boro romped home with the Champions League and Premiership double. That was FM05 it took 25 ingame years and i have never been able to recreate that game.

Now o how things have changed, Boro relegated last year, 06/07, and in the Conference North. Has it been done? has somebody managed to take them from the lowly pit they are in at the start and won it all? i have tried and failed, and tried again and failed. Im not looking for tactics im not lookign for layers or quick fix money making schemes, im looking for some hope. Please share your story with me, doesnt have to be the mighty Boro in my annoyance i started a game as Lewes, in the Conference South and would love to hear some war stories.

i am new to this forum so if i have missed the point a little i whole heardidly apologise. i myself love LLM and only take a big club during hot seat or when i first pick up the game.

What he means is, read the headers once more if you have not already done so, and maybe get a feel of the forum before asking for hope.

Because in LLM, there is no hope. Just less despair.

Read some of the updates in here Nick. Some of them are with English clubs, and these updates will let you know how different people are doing with different clubs.

There's also dafuge's challenge in GQ which is lower league based but not LLM.

Well Nick being quite new to the way of the LLaMa myself rather than disgrace myself with updates that don't exactly "fit in" with the ethics and feel of the forum, I've been reading old updates and going right through the forum seeing what I can dig up. I have to say I've seen some really meaty updates that have been great to read, and I myself will be making one pretty soon I should think. I'd have a read through a few older forum pages, you will find a few updates that end in all the glory under the sun.

Though I much much prefer the relegation tours of the world

Billericay is in Essex, though I didn't find that from footymap, I just nipped on Wikipedia... the fountain of all knowledge, or as we know it as "the college work do-er".

Nope, not being smart though I do remember coming across the recent Bill'cay epic and should have clocked on really. Is that one still going Nobby or is it sent to the crushers in the back of Frank's office with the plurks et all?
