Hail the llamas, or how I ended up with Dorchester.
*** Loaded up all the leagues from Mexico, Belgium, England, France, Germany, Italy, Holland, Spain, and Argentina. Plus all the players from Colombia and Brazil.
Glancing through the classified ads in the paper, I noticed that there were a large number of lower league teams in need of a manager. I decided to switch careers and give it a try as an unseasoned manager.
I chose Dorchester Town because of the cool jerseys (St. Albans came a close second).
I replied to the ad, and to my surprise, I got the job offer that same day.

Hail the llamas, or how I ended up with Dorchester. Post #2
On my arrival, I noticed a cold reception by everyone (the local paper was in shock) except the Chairman and the board, who were expecting a midtable position for the coming season.
I had an amazing budget of $0 transfer funds, however the payroll budget seemed fine at $4.7k (what would I know anyway). But with my own salary at 150 a week - I felt inspired- being naive can be useful at times.
Immediately I went to the training facilities, which are awful by the way. any elementay school has a better pitch than ours. In talking to Brian Benjafield, my assistant, I found out that we were in dire need of a right winger and a striker; and that we were $500 over our payroll budget... Surprisigly though the squad did not seem that bad. I didn't waste time and started sketching some tactics and leading practice in preparation for our first match, a friendly with Rotherham.

What the others said... there is a seperate forum for stories, we like short updates in here, a few lines per season and optional list of trophy winners.
