The other day (actually it's been regularly over the last few months), the wife's suggested "you love the game more than her".

To which I respond: "No of course not. But the game needs me more right now..."

Considering that the regulars in this forum are right old codgers, I wanted to see how you all 'manage' the other half? So we can get on with managing our 'career'.

The other half is replacable. FM isn't.

I play at work. It's the perfect way of doing things.

I work an opposite shift from my wife. Gaming is done while she's at work, or while she is sleeping, or watching a TV show that I detest.

Works well enough for me, and it's been a while since I've heard her grousing about time on the computer, so it must be OK for her too.

Definitely have trouble balancing. Usually end up waiting until she falls asleep then bugger off to the PC.

I play FM while I'm riding my exercise bike. My missus is never going to say to me "you need to get less exercise" so I'm safe for 45 minutes to an hour each day

I am fortunate in that my other half needs a phenomenal amount of sleep and is usually in bed or asleep on the setee by 10pm!

This gives me a good 4 or 5 hours a night of peace and gaming!
