After reading a few articles from the LLM section I have been more than convinced to begin a journey of my own. Usually I take charge of an under-achieving team from League One upwards however I thought to test myself work from the very bottom. Only one season completed yes I know but I would appreciate feedback on my sucess and whether to continue this game futher.
Montrose
Scottish Third Division 2006/07
With the media expecting 9th and a hugely dissapointing season, consistent with the board and fans I wasn't expecting quite a fulfilling season. Looking a the squad I knew changes had to be made, out went my top earner, in came 5 freebies with insignificant wage packets.
The season began as expected, dumped out of the cups at preliminary stages followed by sucessive defeats by average sides. It took 8 games to register my first taste of victory which came against Berwick in which I was suprised to see above us in the table. It took until November to experience that feeling again in which I was close to throwing in the towel. Instead I went on a 12 match unbeaten run which included wins over all of the leading four. Come April I found myself in First going into the last game, a win would see me go up, a loss would result in a play-off place. Indeed defeat was the result but followed up with victories both home and away against East Fife and Arbraoth to seal promotion, Yes, Promotion.
There's some interesting reading at the top of the LLM forum called 'the headers'. If your read them you'll learn a couple of things like:
-updates not story (although yours is passabla as an update)
-only update after 3 seasons completed
-LLM is playing using a strict set of rules (no search screen and the like), starting only in the lowest playable league (League One isn't even considerable)

I don't think you get the whole idea of the updates, you need to complete at least 3 seasons before making a thread, not asking for feedback before you continue.

Well this is a very strict lot, best get back to Montrose, do anoter couple of seasons, learn eanglish, read the ruls and start again! Cheers for the advice anyway!
