I began my career at Alfreton and was dissapointed with the squad. Wafer thin and lacking any real class or quality I decided to make wholesale changes. To bring in the players I wanted I disposed of 13 players making way for 15 new ones. The season began with good results as I trailed 5 points off topspot in third with 15 games in. With 8 games to go I was level on points in a neck and neck race with other shock contneders Hucknall for the title. I won the league with 2 games to spare. Delighted!
With my squad boasting ability but lacking depth I added 5 players to my squad and hird a new coach, releasing 2 players on freebies and selling my goalkeeper for a record £20,000. The season began well keeping up with the big boys hovering around 4th but slowly the teams lack of ability began to show sliding down the table to finish a tedius yet respectable 13th.

With only one player leaving with me not renewing his contract I singed 3 loan sigings hoping my squad would fare well with last seasons squad. I thought with the high profile loanees promotion was an outside chance. We started poorly but gradually clicked and soon climbed to the top of the table. We won the league by 10 points and also won the FA Vase. Two titles and a cup in three years! I was offered the job at Huddersfield who had just been scraped relegation in L1. I took it.
