Parent/Feeder Clubs are not illeagal as I was playing with Stalybridge Celtic and got Sheff Wed & Bolton as parent clubs in succesiveseasons, playing with the 7.02 patch,

IRL, the FA have banned feeder clubs between two English clubs. However, SI have implemented Feeder Clubs wrongly.

Just don't ask your board for a parent club, and if you get one anyway stick any players they might send you in the reserves and cancel the link as soon as possible.
