Why is it that when one of your players gets suspended, you get a message a day or so later saying that he will be suspended for one further match. Every time that happens to me, I don't understand why.

maybe that player that got sent off done a really really bad challenge like a carear threating challenge

Cammy pretty much said it.
Sometimes it will be a really bad tackle compared to a normal tackle, and the red could have given the wrong card, or thought he saw something that didn't happen.

It happens to most of us, dont worry, its not a bug.

I dont think its a bug. A red card results in an automatic one match suspension, as well as obviously being sent off for the rest of the match. Depending on the severity of the foul the player may be given a further suspension on top of the automatic ban, which you are notified of usually in the days just before the first match he is to serve his suspension for

no matter who the player is, no matter the situation and no matter which save game i am on, i get the same every time.

player x has been suspended after picking up a red card in the previous game.

1 or 2 days later...

player x will be suspended for a further match after picking up a red card in the previous game.

The duration of the suspension should change every now and then tho if its a more severe one

this is true but one of my players punched the ref and only got suspended for one game!

now, if it he punched the ref, it might be worth it. :p

just thought it was maybe a bit of a glitch.

i have a glitch in my game where n'zogbia is always suspeneded for my france team. like that for about 8 years now
