My mate got his copy of the game today so I was round at his and when he got the finished scouting trip report some of the star ratings were in white rather than yellow, what does this mean? I had a quick flick through his manual but didnt see anything

If they were white instead of yellow don't they mean the exact same thing except change of colour?

I thought that the stars are silver rather than white, and they are inferior to gold stars?
Or maybe they're used for youth players, whereas gold are for full-time professionals.

Silver = Youth
Gold = Senior

I was wondering the answer to this question, and then i did something remarkable.

I put my mouse over the silver stars.

Surely enough, as with everything else in FM, the tooltip explained what it means...

You have a point, but I have been playing this game long before tooltips on it explained everything, so quit being so condescending. Whats obvious to some isn't to others, but anyway thanks for dragging my topic up several days after I got my answer to let me know about this.

if silver is for youth players how comes my scout has come back with a 15 year old keeper and given him a 1 gold star rating for CA and 4 gold stars for PA?
