two things
i hear evry1 going on about the databas editor. where can i find this and what do i do with it?

and also how do u view someones potnetial ability (PA) coz a lot of people talk about this aswell

First of all, don't use 'txt speak'.

The database editor can be found in the Football Manager 2008 folder wherever you installed it on your computer.

To view a players PA you would need to either look them up in the database editor or use a program such as FM Scout. It's a value which is hidden in the game as obviously you're not supposed to know player's PAs

When you install FM on your computer it automatically installs the editor aswell. So if you go into the 'sports interactive' folder and into 'FM2008' it should be there.

Players potential ability can been seen in the editor

in start menu under fm2008 in program files will be the editor.

Ok. thanks very much i aplogise for my text speak but i was sort of in a hurry. thanks for your help as well. does this only work with the full game or the demo as well. and one more thing what are patches and how do you use them?

I think the data editor is only in the full game - certainly any changes made would require the full game to notice them, as you can only quick-start in the demo.

A patch is something that fixes bugs and makes enhancements to the game. There is a sticky thread at the top for the 'beta' patch that has been released. The full patch is expected out 'early this week'.

To use it, simply download it (save it anywhere on your computer). When it is finished, run the application (double click on it) and it will automatically update your game to the latest version.

ok thank you. well i am going to have to wait for a little while longer then until i get the game. ive found somewhere thaat i can get it for £15.
