If I retrain a player and then stop or switch to retraining another position, how long does he hold his first new position?

Does the rating for the new position gradually drop all the way back to his origial level for the position or does he remember some of his newly acquired position?

I think it depends on his 'versatility' rating, which is a hidden attribute. In which case there's no way of knowing how long it will stay there - in my experience it has been very varied, sometimes a couple of months, sometimes much longer.
