Just wondering what is the worst run of form you're team has experienced in FM08???
I was managing newcastle and squeezed into 4th place 1st season but missed out on CL because arsenal won it and finished 5th in league.
following season was sitting in around 5th again by february and still in all cups. had built up a seriously strong squad, replacing all the dross with likes of van de vaart, modric, crouch, young and flamini. playing attractive football, money in the bank, all was well...
then, didnt win another game between feb and end of season, including numerous home bankers! must point out i continued to stick to my principles and play good football...kept dominating games and creating chances...but anything that could go wrong did!
Reinvested in summer with plenty more quality (still scraped into europe so attracted good quality), picked an easy pre season calendar to get back in the winning habit, but picked up exactly where i left off the previous season, dominating but losing. eventually scraped a win to end a 20 game plus losing streak but didnt lead to any real improvement so for the good of the club i resigned about 10 games into season. went on holiday to see how new manager would do with the quality squad i had left behind and they were soon back on track, finished 7th that season.
now i'm not complaining, in fact i almost enjoyed it in a perverse way because ive had plenty success in FM and its unusual for things to go so ti** up! what i'm wondering is whether this is particularly unsual based on others experience???
In my experience this is a problem with FM2008. I don't know if it's that morale is poorly programmed (As I've heard mentioned) or not, but 1 defeat can seem to completely knock great teams to pieces. The result is a ridiculous losing streak, usually leading to resignation or the sack.

yeah absolutely...one bad result and after that i seem to draw for ages before winning

Every season I have a terrible run of form sparked by one defeat.
I think this is true.
I started one season brilliantly, unbeaten in my first 14 games and beating the big teams away.
Lost one game away to the team 3rd and then lost to a team in the league above in the cup and that was it, couldnt win for love nor money over the next 15 games.
It does seem one bad result can swing form too drastically.
16 games without a win 14 of which were draws (most late conceded goals)
my record for straight loss's was as manager of newcastle on champs 01/02 26 games and managed to avoid the drop on about 31 points
