Having taken over Hinckley in mid-October, I thought it was going to be a real task to get them up from 16th into a mid-table finish as my squad was pretty poor.

Managed to get Aston Villa as my parent club who sent me two fantastic players and a couple of free transfers.

Well, I wasn't holding my breath on how I would do in my first season. However after a twelve game unbeaten run I have risen from 14th....and my season looks set for a grandstand finish.

Williams took ages to find form, now he's banging them in.

Stephen O'Halloran is the other one.

Mr and Kettering won our last games, so they go up, I'm in the play offs.

Good luck with that last game of the season! In my two years with Tiverton Town (just below BSS in first season) I made the playoffs and blew it both times. Worse still, in the second season I was rotating between 1st and 2nd for months, only to have a shockind end to the season which carried on into the playoffs with a disapointing semi-final defeat to AFC Wimbledon.

I agree, managing in the bottom leagues can be thrilling all the way; defences are awful so you always know that one long kick from the keeper could be snatched by the pacey guy upfront and you're in trouble again!
