Default Playing without fullbacks

i've already posted this before, but SIGAMES sort it out, its utterly ridiculous to play against the AI teams who play without full backs or wingbacks and just use there wide midfielders to , i suppose 'cover', its a nonsense and it simply doesnt work in real football, sure, wingbacks occasionaly work, but the ai plays on this game with out either and yet still somehow manages to put in a decent tactical shift and comically 'gets away with it', it really is for me the single most unrealistic concept of the game

utter claptrap

There was very little wrong with the opening post.

He says what he thinks is wrong.

He states why he thinks it is wrong.

I'm not sure what else is expected of him. It maybe isn't a question but this is nowhere near the bottom of the pile if we are going to start grading threads and opening posts.

In response to the original point, it's something that I am seriously considering doing myself as I seem unable to get my full backs to defend at a level that makes it worthwhile them being on the pitch in the first place. I am guessing that 2 centre-backs and 2 defensive midfielders in front of them is going to prove far more effective than a flat back 4 where my full backs defend "in-line" with the winger, rather than "goal-side", blocking their path to either the byline or the goal.
