Ok , so here is the thing...

If u compare PROFILE and GENIE REPORT on a player, you realize soon that on PA and CA it differs a lot !

How come?

REPORT can say a player will have the Potential to be as good as Rio Ferdinand...u look at Potential Ability it is like...132-140-128 ..whatever...NOT a Rio at least

I don´t really wanna look at the "profile" on players in FM Genie , as it gives away "to much"...
You get the exact values on everything , potential/current ability, mental stats(like professinalism etc and som on

So instead I had an idea that if I looked at only in "Genies Report"...I only get a clue on things.
Sure I get to know a player may be as good as "Olof Mellberg" but that was ok with me.
it doesnt spoil to much as I have no clue on how good he is exactly.

I also thought the Genie report on the FM genie scout might fail a little. Things is :
IT FAILS A LOT!!!

Why, is it some kind of setting thing, or could it be to the fact I edited my Hull Game?
Not that I can see how giving a better av/max attendance and release a few crappy youths in editor should change this ...

Any ideas?

AND ...please , spare me the "scout is cheating-morals" ...I know...and I use it anyhow

No, FM Genie shouldn't be affected just because you edited your game. Probably because the Genie reports themselves aren't accurate? You can trust the CA/PA values there though.

Genie works on alot of calculations, your Def may have a PA of 140, Rio may have one of 170, but so what? IF genie is comparing 2 players, in this case defenders, it will compare devensive stats, it maybe the case that your defenders devensive stats can be as good as rio, but other stats not so good as rio's, Genie is to be used as a guide, its not the be all and end all.

When it comes to squad etc genie is accurate, if you have used FMM to edit your saved game you'll need to reload Genie for it recognise the changes...as for average attendance, boy, you're mistaken, if you edited your avg. attendance Genie will only look at what your current avg. attendance is IN GAME, so ... in pre game editor, or in FMM you may say avg. attendance is 25000 it may take your team 10 home games...yes dont forget you play away which dont count...it may take 10-20 matches before you hit your edited avg. attendance, so when you load up genie it will look at the current saved game data see avg. attendance at only 19000 and display that.

Genie is 100% accurate to CA and PA, when it comes to displayig PA stats, that can vary depending on players development through matches and training, again there Potential stats are just a guide.

One last thing, you wont get any "Scout is cheating-morals" here, this is the editors forum, thi is what the forums about.

If you have anymore concern about Genie I would recommend posting on the offical genie website as the creator can answer your questions better.

Genie compares them on their rating for that position which i have found is actuallyh more important than CA. To find a superstar yo have to search for someone with good PA and good "best potential rating". IF you just search based on CA and PA then you get people that are really good at useless things like a defender with great shooting ect.

Thing is I usually avoid using it, and when I use Genie Scout, It´s mostly just to check on a player I´m about to pay A LOT of money for...well, lot of money for HULL CITY may be like 7-8m euros, which I guess is like nothing for the big teams.

For me it is still most of my funds , and players costing that much still may look great for a 22-23 yo , but have already peaked looking to Potential Ability.

So, I don´t have the courage to gamble on it , hehe, so I use scout to check my most expensive signings.

But, I don´t wanna watch the "profile"-window(the first one) in scout then and get exact value on CA/PA.

Problem is ,I just wanted to look in the report window (the "last" one) and use the facts there.
Now , if it then may say a player is as good as YZZY and will be as good as YZZY...regarding to CA and PA as it use these terms.. u would hope it is at least close to correct, as it uses the term POTENTIAL...

Now a player can be reported to have the POTENTIAL to be as good as Rio Ferdinand when in facts the PA is like 140-145...I´ve seen it a lot.

I just reported and asked here as activity seems bigger in these forums then in scouts, but I may register in GENIE SCOUT-forums and report this to him, and see what he say...
Maybe I´m doing something strange.
