Guys

I have an MC who always seems to dwell on the ball and get caught out instead of passing it on. 3 goals in the last 4 games are due to him getting caught on the ball!!

Looking at his stats it has nothing there suggesting he tends to hold on or dwell on the ball... so is there a setting before the match that i can change so he does not hold onto it too much.

Or is there a setting/stat i should look for (so i can replace him!)

I think because its too crowded on the midfield your MC cant find good passing options.
You might want to try to create more space on the midfield by widening the pitch or by keeping a deep defensive line and playing more defensive. Your team is also less vulnerable to counter attacks that way.

Your oponents probably push up their defensive line (or have a short pitch) and keep a narrow field. That way they can put lots of pressure on your midfielders and attackers and reduce the passing possibilties your midfielders have. Because your midfielders cant pass, they hold on to the ball. Your oponent takes the ball from the MC and launches a counter attack.

Maybe a higher tempo might help and some more creative freedom for your midfielders so they wont be so static and try to become available for a pass.

Ive come onto the forums to post the exact same question!

One of my centre mids dawdles on the the ball all the time there are other players in decent space to pass to, he just can not seem to pass.

His stats are ok, especially passing its high teens!

What should I be looking at to get him to move the ball on quicker?
