Is having wingers and through balls (often) a conflict with cross (often) or do both work well together? i tend to have through balls rarely on wide men but wonder if this is correct. Any thoughts?

Personally speaking I don't like having wingers play through balls...logic is simple. You want them to dribble, or stop pause and look to make a killer pass...and how often do you find wingers makin killer passes?

depends realy on whoes youer strikers , can they head cross are they small and fast through balls works well IMO

Crosses often...

TTB depends on player´s attributes:

a) They got nice passing skills > 15 then I´ll set wingers with mixed option. Either way, take a look at creative freedom and technical attributes as well, because some player could have 17 passing but if he got bad decisions is possible he made the worst choice.

b) Wingers got poor technical (pass) attibutes then is preferable to just set rare TTB and expect they make damage with crosses.

For example: I play Milan and hope my full-backs join attack (overlaping) so I set Oddo (right) and Jankulovski (left) with FRW often and RWB mixed.

I expect they give more width to the team because I use 4x4x2 diamond and midfielders play in a more narrow position. This way, and looking for Oddo´s and Jankulovski´s attributes and set them with crosses often but choose TTB (try Through Balls) mixed.

Results nice until now because eventually they appear to be AMR/L when I got possesion and could both make some assists.
