hey guys, im just wondering, im currently arsenal, im a pool fan but i wanted a new challenge so started a new game. im in my second season, ive waon the fa cup and league in my first, it's december and currently sitting top. anyway to the point, i have looked at my stats for the my two seasons and to my horror i have only scored 3 goals from any set piece, thats including corners, free kicks not penalties. i have silva, persie, rafinha, as my takers and they all rate highly in taking these set pieces, any ideas on how i can set up the team during set pieces???
it wont let me edit the above post, i forgot to add how does a free role work? i have never used it and dunno what position it would be best used, thanks again
Take a look through some of the threads on corner taking in this forum. I made some changes based on what I found and am now leading the scoring from corners chart in my game.
Corners in Fm08 work differently than in FM07, so don't have anyone with "Near post flick on".
There are differences of opinion as to what works best. Some say to put your best jumper/header on Challenge GK, I've also read that he should be on Attack Near Post.
Free kicks seem to depend as much on technique and composure than just the free kicks attribute alone. Maybe you can adjust your free kick takers accordingly.
Have 2 attack near post
have 2 challenge keeper
have 2 attack far post.
This seems to work well for me, most often it the far post players that score but had them all over. Challenge keeper are good for rebounds etc as they right on the play.
