bertsquall, the SPL isn't the best of leagues but craig gordon made his name in the spl and was considered world class, despite no european experience he became the 3rd most expensive gk in the world when he joined Sunderland. IMO Boruc is as good if not better than Gordon and has proven it time and time again in the champions league. When boruc leaves celtic he will command an even greater transfer fee than gordon.

You contradict yourself when saying boruc isn't world class because he only plays in the SPL yet use the example of Craig Gordon, who established himself and became world class whilst playing in the SPL.

You say he would be found out if he moved, i'm pretty sure he would have been found out by now playing in the champions league the last few years against the best strikers in europe.

Boruc's one of the top keepers in Europe hes proved this not only in the world cup , champions league ,and for Poland .

He makes a few mistakes but name me a goal keeper that does not make any mistakes hes highly rated and been scouted by the biggest clubs in the world .

First thing is the guy WILL be a turncoat on Celtic. By the sounds of things he wantsto leave Celtic therefore he will not attract as high a value as Gordon Did.

There are a number of keepers in Europe Ahead of him such as;

David James
Buffon
Van Der Sar
jaaskelainen
casillas
Ustari
Cech
Valdes

Just a Handful of keepers who, in my opinion, far exceed Boruc's Ability. If Boruc moves from Celtic it will not be to major European team, it will be to an average Keeper.

If he goes to A top European Club he Will only warmmy bench.

I watched him against Benfica and he made good saves and the commentator was saying they were 'World Class' saves! They were none of the sort keeps such as van der sar could have easily saved them

Seriously, i watched him at Hampden against France, Georgia, Lithunia, Ukraine etc and every time he played he was great. Im not disputing the fact he's not class yet! But he will be. Has far greater potential than Boruc ever will. I thought Arsenal would have bought him him to replace Lehmann as that was a rumour going round.

Also he's is BRitian Richest goalkeeper for a Reason you know!

boruc is a decent enough keeper.... and no he isnt in same class as jamed (who has been one of the best in the prem for a very long time) ...

and no , clearly isnt as good as the elite such as cech, van der sar, buffon and imo given and helton of porto...


also... gordon will be a top class keeper for years to come, even buffon said he could be the best in the world as did vieri..

Artur Boruc is one of the best keepers in the world. I mean look at the home champions league games for celtic and look at the teams he shut out. Dont look at the away team games because celtic are jinxed abroad.

Remember that time he kept out Man utd? AC Milan? Benfica? Even more than that.

He does have howlers the same as eveyone else. For example: David Seaman, David James, Paul Robinson. People get cocky when your as good as him and hes allowed to slip up a few times considering what hes done for celtic. So less of the Anti-Scottish football bullsh*t from you English morons.

Scottish football is on the up and Craig Gordon is a class act aswell.

To slate Boruc and Gordon is a joke.

Boruc stated only last week that he wants to sign a new contract at celtic so i don't know where you get that from? And to say he would only be on the bench at a top european club is ridiculous. The likes of arsenal and ac milan are interested and i doubt he would be behind almunia or dida if he joined either of them two clubs. Also you say van der sar would have made the same saves boruc made against benfica, why even state this? the fact is boruc made these world class saves like a world class keeper should!

ps. you must be kidding if you think david james is a better GK
