I know defenders arn't Fm08's strongpoint, but I Finished 5th with portsmouth bit I leaked far too many goals, I need a centre back for 25 million max! I also could do with a good left back to replace Djimi Traore for 5 million or less.

I have had a bid accepted for Per Metresacker for 25 million but I'm not sure if he is worth it. I have had bids rejected for Micah Richards, Corluka and That Juventus central defender.

Mertesacker is a very good and reliable defender. But you should be able to get him for much less than 25M. Especially if he is still at Werder Bremen.

LB - try Omar Esparza (not too great defensively sadly but great going forward). Traore from Arsenal is brilliant. Pander (Schalke) is good too. Esparza should be under 5M. Pander might be. Traore, probably not.

I tried Felipe, I got him for 7.7 million but he failed a work permit, I have managed to secure Djourou on loan, As for Garay they rejected 23 million :eek: I'm going to go Breno and Zapata, probably Breno if he passes a work permit.

As for a left back I had a 5.5 million bid for Traore accepted.

breno passed work permit for my sunderland team when he was just 18 so shld be cool.

mcshane is totally solid for me but maybe cos ive trained him up myself but hey hes my captai nnow too reliable.

hes well good on mine, considered a leading prem CB at 22, plays for newcastle. my 19-19 scout gave him 5-6 stars.

Thomas Vermaelen is a good bet, he plays for HSV. I got him for 6mil which is a bargain! Kompany is really good too, though injury prone.
