Lucas Leiva: Stupid or Smart

i am barcelona in january of my 1st season
am top of the league
k.o of the champions league
q/f of the spanish scup

i know how good a player lucas of liverpool is and seeing as beacelona dont have any real dm's i decided to put a bid in for lucas

after numerour bids rejected i brought him for £26.5M
do u think tht ws stupid or smart

P.S i had a transfer budget of £69mil

personally i wouldn't have spent that much on him as looking at the Barca squad they have possibly one of the best sets of centre midfielders on the game with Deco, Xavi, Toure & my personal fav Iniesta but then again you had alot of money to burn so i doubt it will effect you too much

that is a good point there
but none of them are natural defensive,ball winning midfeileders, i would class them as more pretty boy playmakers haha

looking at Toure's stats i wouldn't really class him as a pretty boy playmaker tbh

but even so i would probably say Lucas is more of a playmaker then a midfield destroyer as he has fairly high creativity and yes he can tackle and mark fairly well but personally i like my DM/MC types to be strong, good in the air and a good team worker.. someone like a De Rossi, Bodmer and even someone like a Muamba who would have probably cost the same or cheaper imho

You should have bought Miguel Veloso - he is the perfect DM in my opinion!

De Rossi is my favorite of the top DM's. Makoun is excellent and able to get on a mid table side but if I was playing with Barcelona I'd probably go for De Rossi.
