Villarreal Club de Futbol, sometimes abbreviated to Villarreal, is a Spanish Primera Division football club based in Villarreal, a small suburb of Castellón de la Plana. They play at the 26,000 seater El Madrigal stadium. Their famous rivals are Valencia CF and their derbies are one of the most exciting in the Primera Liga. They achieved something of a proud moment as they played the semi-final of the UEFA Cup for 2003/2004, however, losing to their more illustrious neighbor who went on to win the Cup. They have been a regular fixture in the Primera Liga for many years and have recently signed Uruguayan striker Diego Forlán. Their squad has also been bolstered with the presence of South American talents like Juan Pablo Sorin, Juan Roman Riquelme as well as former Spain striker José Mari.

Their home uniform is yellow shirt, blue shorts and blue socks. They are nicknamed the los submarinos amarillos (the yellow submarines) because of their yellow shirts. Their mascot is a figure with a submarine head.

Possible Targets
Well to be honest the squad is quite strong, but the defence definetly needs improving.
Im opting to sign.

Manuel Pasqual, of Fiorentina, a very good LB who is just on Rotation at Fiorentina. Pineda would also be a cracking choice if you cant get your mits on Pasqual

Also, another CB wouldn't go a miss, as the only real star in the Centre of defence is Gonzalo Rodriguez, who is basically dead until January. So maybe, Mathieu Delpierre of Stuttgart, might be a good choice, he's in his prime, and has some excellent stats. Gioda, also again would be a good choice if you cant get Delpierre.

And Last but not least another CM would be good. Lucas Biglia or Ever Banega would be good.

Ahh the Yellow Submarines... Originally home to Pepe Reina one of the best goalkeepers in recent years and world class with Liverpool.

Although that introduction was off because Diego Forlan got bought by A.Madrid to replace the departed Torres.

Yeah that squad is great to play with if you get defensive cover and a better LB like Pasqual... I believe the potential for them to become Li Liga winners is good so I'm deciding if I should go for these guys in a future game.

Well for me it's either choose this team or go for Getafe in terms because I want to go for a different sort of challenge and La Liga has always been interesting to go for.

So LB, CB and CM to target and youth players... plus players from South America and Central America.

Cool, cool I might go on in a game as the Yellow Subs after all... it doesn't look like they need much cover except for a few worries here and there.

Fernandez Got Crippled for me on the 1st day of playing, wont expect him back for about another 4/5 games. But I may Play Iago there or just stick with the mighty Pires, If you sell Pires btw people, its your own silly fault. He's Still FB!
