Loaded all leagues in England. Frank sent to me Scarborough. Though I have the utmost respect for Frank, I’d still like to say: Why Frank Why! I must have done something to have his wrath upon me…
Season 1: Scarborough, Nationwide Conference North
I hired some coaches to be able to actually have my players trained by somebody else than my Player/Assistant Manager who, by the way, has indeed surprised me with some of his coaching skills.
Nationwide Conference North
We started out with a 10 point deduction as most of you will know. It took me a whole lot of matches to actually get ourselves above the 0 point mark. The first half of the season consisted mainly of awful football and a lot of losses and draws. The second half of the season was actually quite good. We finished the season in 14th place which I was pretty happy about. Without the points deduction we would have finished 9th.
Final Position: P:42 W:18 D:8 L:16 GD:+13 Pts:52 Pos:14th. FA CUP: Lost in first round against Bournemouth. Pretty decent run. Not much else to say about it though.
FA Trophy: Lost in second round against Stevenage. Also pretty decent, losing against a better team.
Very talented young striker scored 22 goals from 41 games (4 as a sub). Support striker scored 14 and also took care of 9 assists, he also was Fans player of the year. The squad mainly consists of young players and a couple of older ones. Nobody really disappointed me, although nobody really excited me as well… Apart from VTYS.
No transfers in as we have no money for transfers or wages. I had to decide whether to sell players to be able to buy new ones or stick with the squad. I decided to do the sticky part.
Season 2: Still Nationwide Conference North
No players in because I had made a real mess of the wages. The board felt I had spent too much, they were right…
Nationwide Conference North
I was hoping for a playoff spot. Like last season the media predicted us to finish 3rd. I would settle for 5th but I wasn’t going to tell them…
We started the season very well but somewhere around January we start drawing most of our matches. Luckily we manage to finish the season in 5th place which is enough to secure the play-offs.
In the semis we play Guiseley who we beat 1-0 at home to finish it off with a 1-1 draw at Nethermoor. Off to the finals where we face Kettering. We are second-best for most of the match but then my number-4 striker decides to score a goal in the 84th minute to secure promotion!
Final Position: P:42 W:19 D:12 L:11 GD:+22 Pts:69 Pos:5th. FA Cup: Lost in fourth round qualifying against Cambridge
FA Trophy: Lost in first round against Chester. Whatever, this cup sucks arse as we all know…
Very talented young striker scored 26 goals in 50 matches. Not bad for a teenager… Who also became this years Fans player of the year. Support Striker scored 15 and took care of 10 assists. For the rest all my youngsters are developing well under the wings of the few experienced players in my squad.
Season 3: Nationwide Conference
I actually decided that I should get myself some new players… I settled for two players for my leftwingermethingy-position. One more experienced, the other more talented. We still had no money to actually buy players so they came in on free transfers.
Nationwide Conference
We started out crap, but we managed to get out of the relegation spots during the winter (somewhere around December and January). After that we were crap once again which caused the following:
Final Position: P:46 W:12 D:11 L:23 GD:-12 Pts:47 Pos:21th.
Relegation it is. Obviously I won my last match 4-1 to no avail (or however you speel it).
FA Cup: Don’t want to talk about it. For the first time I lost against teams that were worse than me (on paper that is). This was not my season, that’s for sure…
FA Trophy: Same as above, and still it sucks arse…
Very talented young striker decided to change his name to Very talented young striker who is injured a lot. He managed to get a lot of assists though. Quite interesting. Support Striker was my leading goal scorer this season.
During the winter I also brought in a new goalkeeper who I am actually quite satisfied about. He sometimes stops a ball coming through, something my former first choice wouldn’t normally do.
Right now I am deciding whether or not I should stay with the Seadogs. We are currently 1.230.000 Euro in the red… And relegation…. How I love my LLM… Deep down I am hoping to get sacked as I usually don’t jump ship but this is looking rather depressing. I’ll let you guys know in a while…
