Look, much as I'm on the side of the second chance, posting in a CA/PA thread really is past it.
KJ: Ignore the plurks in this forum who like flaming people when they post legitimate comments, however you shouldn't be posting in an editors forum. Simple as, no ifs or buts, don't do it if you want to be LLaMa.
My advice to you is to place Nobby on the ignore list for a while for certain, and perhaps Guiness to, and quietly lurk here, posting the odd comment, and maybe a good update thread, and don't visit any heathen fora, especiallly don't post.
Nobby: If you have so much against the guy, place him on an ignore list.

Just quit arguing about every little thing, KJ! It isn't difficult. I understand that sometimes people make a point you disagree with, but that happens in life as you'll find out. Just silently agree with yourself "that what he said there ain't right that" (if you are indeed from Bristol like that quote would suggest ), and leave it at that.
You don't have to bite back at every disagreeance made with your point of view. Genius or no genius, you need to learn a bit of give and take. Like someone said in one of the many threads ruined with your petty squabbles, take a telling. It doesn't hurt.
If people annoy you, ignore them. You don't have to argue every single point. I mean this in no offensive way, but I honestly just don't think you are a Llama. It isn't a bad thing per se, some are, some aren't. I wouldn't say I am a fully-fledged one yet, I am getting there though.
Take the advice of others though. Lurk a bit. Don't reply to every single thing. Just watch how things work, and learn.

Rep Power: 0 | 20010/11 – Basingstoke Town – Conference National
Media prediction: 24th | Board: Fight bravely
It all started so well. A 4-0 win over Torquay, who finished above me last season in the South league, on the opening day and 11 new signings (frees) to add a lot of quality and depth to the first team and allow some of my less talented loyal servants to drift into reserve obscurity. It is only now writing this that I think 11 new additions may not have been so wise, although they undoubtedly improved my overall quality. After that first win, and with the benefit of hindsight, I held unrealistic hopes, but 5 straight defeats brought me back down to earth.
Half way through the season and I was fairly pleased – 26 points from 23 games – but I’d just been hit by a bug that saw the might Basingstoke not win in 12 games. Thanks to two injury time winners I won the following three games, but they would prove to be my last – I didn’t win any of the 13 remaining games, which included only two draws.
Consequently, in the second half of the season I picked up on 13 points, exactly half the total of the first 23 games. Absolutely shocking, I don’t know what went wrong and, despite finishing rock bottom, I still don’t believe I’m down. Boys and girls(?), I’m now officially a crap manager… just like the rest of you! (I mean, all we had to do was pick Chelsea on start-up and board senseless). Thing is though, I was never really out played, it was just that teams kept scoring one or occasionally four more than me in games…
My top scorer was mymainman, who scored 22 goals, which is actually pretty appalling considering he was rarely injured and scored 12 of those in his first 13 league games. His downfall came about the time I gave him a long term contact on more money. Muppet.
24th Basingstoke 46 – 11 6 29 – 52 76 -24 – 39 (9pts off survival)
WLLLLLWWLLWLWWLWDWLLLLD(26pts)
LDDLLLLWWWLLLLLLDLLLLLD(13pts)

I wish I'd had a striker who could score >20 goals. Double figures at least would be nice. |
