It is indeed an error in the game.

You have to ask yourself... Is it realistic?

Imagine waking up one morning, turning to the back page of the daily sport whilst eating your cornflakes and seeing (amongst all the tities) that some unheard of bloke, who's only been managing for 2 years, (with one of those spent managing a semi-professional team) getting the England job would you think 'Yeah, he deserves that job'??

Think realism.

One of the problems with international managing is that to be properly realistic, you've got to quit your club, which then means the game is boring as hell because you're only playing 10 games a year.

Not if you are managing within the perimeters of your chosen managerial nation, people have done it before. As long as your not managing Australia when your plying your club trade in England there isn't a problem with realism.

For some nations, that's true, It depends on which country you want to manage.

I know, for example, that the English FA are extremely unlikely to let me be the England manager and continue to manage my club side.

If I have to set precedent in-game, I don't consider it to be realistic.

I'd choose one or the other anyway, because a certain ginger had to choose between club and country. Don't think the FA allow you to manage England and a club so I wouldn't.

Unfortunately, as I said, that gets a bit dull f you're England manager and you get 10 games a year.

Yeah very good point, did it in '05 and never again, I'd choose the club personally.

Are people forgetting that for a short while Keegan managed both England and Fulham before quitting Fulham?
Was a good three or four months if I remember right.
