Cuneo (Serie B) 2012-2013

media: 21st (out of 22)
board: battle bravely against relegation
fans: battle bravely against relegation

transfer budget: 2.01m euro
transfers in: 13 (600K)
transfers out: 16 (675K)

I bought some defenders in the off-season, because I thought we were lacking there. To be expected, I had way more trouble up front with loads of injuries, while the back four was very solid.

Even without two fit strikers for much of the season, we played very decent. Some winning streaks, some losing streaks. We were never in danger of relegation and ended 9th in the end.

P42 W16 D12 L14 F53 A38 GD+15 Pts60 (pos. 9th)

We had four players in the team of the year.

Cuneo topscorer: Angry Austrian (11)
Cuneo fans POTY: Austrian Playmaker

A very good cup run saw us play Juventus in the first round proper. We lost, but kept our honour and picked up a very nice 2m in gate receipts.

Cuneo (Serie B) 2013-2014

media: 16st (out of 22)
board: achieve a safe mid-table position
fans: achieve a respectable league position

transfer budget: 3.1m euro
transfers in: 15 (1.6m)
transfers out: 21 (16m)

The chairman started the season well by selling my fantastic goalkeeper for exactly his value. Good thing my back-up is also very decent. I spent a staggering 1.2m on a versatile Italian winger, who instantly injured himself for 4 months. All other signings were youngsters, except for a 32 years old real life Brazilian international striker, who joined on a free from PSV.

First week of september, both of my Austrian heroes wanted to leave to a bigger club. The Austrians plus my best central defender eventually left in january, sold by the chairman, all for fees of about their values. As you probably have already guessed, I wasn't all to confident about the team early on.

Well, I shouldn't have been, the lads pleasantly surprised me. We were in promotion contention all season and eventually wrapped up the title on the penultimate matchday.

P42 W23 D11 L8 F73 A34 GD+39 Pts80 (pos. 1st)

I won Serie B Manager of the Year and we had four players in the team of the year. The Brazilian Star Striker was signing of the season, Cuneo were overachievers.

Cuneo topscorer: Brazilian Star Striker (15)
Cuneo fans POTY: Brazilian Star Striker

An average cup run saw us go out against Treviso in the second qualifying round.

Cuneo (Serie A) 2014-2015

media: 20th (out of 20)
board: battle bravely against relegation
fans: battle bravely against relegation

transfer budget: 11.5m euro ( :o )
transfers in: 7 (3.1m)
transfers out: 21 (11.25m) (all the money came from co-ownerships)

The board announced we would move into the new 14,645 capacity "Cuneo Stadium" (ooh, how original ) at the end of the season. The board took out a loan of 33m euros for this.

All players I bought were youngsters, the most expensive, "Ukranian Striker", started the season in the first team, because Brazilian Star Striker was injured for several months.

We played well, a good start and two excellent months after the winter break made sure we ended in a very good 6th place. Inter ran away with the league, Milan followed 8 points behind, Lazio were third 19 points behind. Our sixth place qualified us for the Uefa Cup. \o/

Our Polish Playmaker got Serie A foreign player of the season, Serie A young player of the season and Serie A mifielder of the season awards and our Austrian Goalkeeper was Serie A goalkeeper of the year. Four players got into the Serie A team of the season. Cuneo were chosen overachievers and Ukrainian Striker was chosen signing of the season.

Cuneo topscorer: Ukranian Striker (12)
Cuneo fans POTY: Polish Playmaker

We made it to the Quarter Final of the Cup, losing to Roma.
