I like that rationalization of the feature. Makes it a little easier to take when I forget to even send them out in the first place.... "Well, you never TOLD me to go out and find players."

Something that needs looking at for 08 as when I play as a Conference North side and send them out they keep coming back with Premiership quality players who won't sign for me. Except for one Slovenian in Scottish Non-League who averaged 1.5 goals a game. Record- played 58 scored 87

One of my scouts just spent an inspiring 2 days conducting a 'tour' of Norn Iron.

Bearing in mind the same guy once spent 220 days scouting Uruguay, consider me bemused.

Doesn't it matter when you send them out? If it's close season it doesn't seem worth the effort.

it doesn't matter when you send them; it's a few day scout for some of these nations. At least they manage to find a decent amount of players, though HOW they do that I couldn't say.
